What is Magnetic Hyperthermia?
Magnetic hyperthermia harnesses the magnetic heating power of micro or nanoparticles.
These particles generate heat when exposed to a high frequency alternating magnetic field due to magnetic rotational dynamics.
The “activating” alternating magnetic field can be applied remotely, at a distance and non-invasively.
Heat generated by the particles can be used as a therapy to kill cancer cells.
For more information about magnetic hyperthermia or RCL’s own nanoparticle RCL-01 please see our resources page.
